Puppy Party!

Pippin was just looking carefully at a puppy that had crawled out of the whelping pen, and it started to paw at his beard, very sweet. I didn’t catch a picture of it, but here is a few pictures of him playing with her. They are getting bigger now and moving around faster!

On the Grooming Front

Well, we had Freddie in on Saturday morning, she is the image of Pippin they are like twins. She is a Schnoodle, and is completely adorable. Pippin went on a mad running spree around the house, slamming into walls, jumping on chairs and really showing off! He likes her I think. 😉 They had a lovely time together, and she left all nice, clean and groomed.

Mitzie came on Friday afternoon, another Schnauzer; she comes often and is very gentle. She doesn’t like her ears to be cleaned and isn’t very keen on having knots brushed out, but we manage as long as I’m very gentle.

Hydra came for her first ever groom on Friday morning, and she managed extremely well. She loved having a bath and didn’t mind the clippers at all. She goes to Pippin’s puppy class so Pippin and her get on well together. She stayed with me all day which was fun! She was followed by Alfie, another Schnauzer; he is a real gentleman and everyone loves him. He always comes into the house when he is finished and is made a fuss of!

I have a Spaniel in this afternoon, I have never done him before so new customer; I’m having a busy week! What fun!

Puppies Arrived!

Well, here they are! They are about 2 weeks old now, but in the pictures they’ll be about 1 week old. There were six, but sadly two died within the first 24 hours. We have two boys and two girls, one of the boys is black and one of the girls is black, the others are black and silver. I’ll be posting more pictures soon! Bonnie has been being great with them, she’s very protective though, so doesn’t like visitors very much! Pippin adores them, he finds them very fascinating.

Puppy Class.

Pippin has been doing very well in puppy class, I am so proud of him! He loves meeting all new doggy friends; he has learnt so much there and has been behaving himself much better on his walks! He has been learning to stay, stand, quiet, touch and lots more. There are three Schnauzers in the class now, all of them Pippin’s brothers! Very sweet.

Standing head and shoulders above the rest!

Pippin on Rachel's shoulders.

Well, today Pippin decided it was great fun to stand on Rachel’s shoulders. He even posed for pictures. I took the first one, and he jumped down to come over and see what the fuss was about. Then he went and stood on Rachel’s shoulders again, and posed for another picture! He likes to think he’s being funny and drawing attention, and once again he succeeded.

I can’t see her, she can’t see me!

The other day, Pippin decided to go into the bin. He loves sneaking into the kitchen, putting his front paws on the edge of the bin and lifting the lid carefully with his little, black nose. He knows he is not allowed to do it, so he makes sure no one is around before he puts this scheme into action. Anyhow, this day into the bin he went. Upon hearing the scuffling noise, I hurried out of my bedroom to see what was going on. Pippin poked his head over the top of the lid, took one look and me and raced into the back room. I scurried after him; my aim was to check he didn’t have anything in his mouth that might have harmed him. Upon entering the back room I began to laugh. Now, I recently bought a small carrier for Pippin so that when I’m dog grooming, if he wants to go to bed he can retire there comfortable. It is small and green, and the front zips up if you want to lock the dog in. So, I go into the back room and there was Pippin, his bed was zipped up except for a tiny hole where the tip didn’t quite meet the top. Pippin had stuck his head through that tiny hole, and he just stood there dead quiet. I am sure he was thinking to himself right then, ‘If I can’t see her, she can’t see me!’

Today is a Furry Tail.

Well, today Pippin decided that there might just be a snippet of food under the cupboard. He scrambled and scratched and delved, until in the end all I could see was his tail waving around madly. Then he went increasingly quiet, and stayed under there; maybe he was hoping that that tiny piece of food would appear before him suddenly! Here, we took some pictures for you.
